Nick lives in downtown Salt Lake City, where on the weekends he pretends he doesn't commute to the suburbs for work.

What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Mimosas at brunch with friends.

What songs do you sing in the shower? I don't sing in the shower. I recite impromptu haikus about how I love my job.

Last thing that made you laugh? My previous answer.

Worst injury you've ever had? When I was two years old, my older brother pushed me down the stairs and I broke my right femur. It healed wrong and the doctors had to rebreak it; while I was in the hospital my younger brother was born. Also, six weeks of a body cast. Do you feel worse for me or for my mother?

If you were a fruit what would you be? Starfruit. I've always wanted to be famous.

What’s your favorite band? U2. No question. Once I met Bono and I was so excited I passed out onto his feet and my skull broke his pinkie toe. He gave me his sunglasses which I then sold on eBay. I regret selling the glasses. But I'll never regret breaking his pinkie toe. I mean, who can say that they broke Bono's pinkie toe?

What would you do if you didn't work at BasicGrey? It's my dream to be a furniture designer.

If you had a million dollars what would be your first purchase? A billboard with my picture on it that said, “Jealous?” in 2000 pt. Univers Bold Condensed all caps.

Music or silence when you work? Noise canceling headphones with Ira Glass inside.

A little bit country or a little bit rock and roll? Alternative, silly. I'm a designer. Please.

What clubs were you in during High School? The nerdy ones.
